Media: Plywoods, plastic vinyl sheets, acrylics, projector, TouchDesigner

It’s a human-scaled physical “glass jar” installation made of plywoods and plastic vinyls with a TouchDesigner processed video of uncanny squirming meat tissues projected onto it. Audience are invited to interact with the “jar” by playing with the scale of the shadows between them and the jar, and to think about what does the jar / the container might represent as metaphors in our dreamscapes, as well as the ambiguous idea of “actuality” and “virtuality”.

BOARdom is an AI-generated interactive & immersive multimedia dream journal, which invite audience to contribute to the collective unconscious of dreamscapes. With the first sentence I could recall from my nightmare in 2017, “our parents, have turned into CANNED PORK selling overseas”, this project is inspired by one of the most unsettling nightmares I had, featuring the theme of inner abjection and trauma about family oppression, censorship and surveillance.
