Three best friends have manifested their childhood dream cars and speak on the truths and fallacies of the illusion of the American dream their parents fought so hard to give them access to. California car culture is not simply about the cars themselves but the community that comes with it. In an example of films-influencing-life, three boys of different cultural backgrounds grew up in the Inland Empire and found a sense of belonging and inspiration in the Fast and Furious franchise. Attaining their dream cars becomes a parallel to the lives they continue to build and fight for themselves.
