My voice has often made the audience question my gender or was called androgynous. Within this audio-visual performance, I’m trying to deconstruct stereotypes behind “she/her/hers” showing that being a woman carries many more shades and shapes, and is much more ambiguous, more flowing, and variegated than society’s image of it. These values are portrayed by different soundscapes: delicate and peaceful whispers, mystical choir, piano parts filled with hopelessness, and rhythm influenced by emotions. This music is also my spiritual journey between different consciousness levels: from despair to a place of peace and silence. “Nina Anto & sensitivity captured by Polish artists” was already showcased in London, Paris, Switzerland, Warsaw, and Oslo. The tour was sponsored by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
