This project is an interactive installation inspired by the Páramo ecosystem in Colombia using visual elements processed in Touch Designer software. When entering the room the viewer will see two original photographs of the “Páramo de Chingaza¨. It is dark and a low drone synth sound will be playing while each of the photographs attracts the audience with a low LED light that invites them to watch it closer. Using a distance sensor, when someone gets close to the picture the lights turn off and a projection related to the photograph will appear on the wall. It will slowly start to reveal and at the same time distort the original picture. This happens in the form of a moving image through a slow and smooth process until at the end has completely disappeared. The experience is accompanied with a combination sounds around the space that help the viewer create a bigger connection to this place and have a full immersive experience.
