School of Film/Video – MFA3 – Film Directing

This drawing is one of a series of dreamed-of excerpts from my short film “Roland and the Shark.” I’m honored to be able to show it, because it’s really all I can show: flooding earlier this year took my hard drive and, with it, all my footage. Since the flood, I’ve made drawings of what I remember from the film — weaving feeling and content and potential altogether. It’s been really nice to do that. This piece specifically alludes to the cosmic ties between the protagonist and their guilt, and foreshadows their trip at sea.
